A character named Zack (actor Todd Lowe), the musician husband to Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) good friend Lane Kim (Keiko Agena), was chatting about going on tour this summer with the band Vapor Rub and playing in cit fit flops ies he’s never visited, including Detroit. Said Zack fit flops , “And we’re not just playing anywhere. We’re playing the Magic Stick. Everybody has played the Magic Stick. Crooked Fingers. The Rosebuds. Bobby Conn. Midlake.”
Previously this spring, the CW series gave a nod to the Free Press, as one of the newspapers that soon to graduate Yale student and journalism junkie Rory had in the mix for future employment. Which she’ll need, figuratively speaking, after the May 15 series finale.
It’s Nurse Appreciation Week 2007, so the show hits the road to a different hospital each day. The sked? Today, it’s Crittenton Hospital in Rochester; Tuesday, Providence Hospital, Southfield; Wednesday, Henry Ford Bi County Hospital, Warren; Thursday, St. June 3 at the Sheraton Detroit in Novi.
They’re looking for 50 cancer survivors who face each day with courage and dignity and serve as an inspiration. That’s where you come in.

The goal is to provide a place for women and their daughters to get together, Wilson told the Windsor Star. Wilson’s sister, Stephanie Cence and pal Tina Pavivic will provide day to day oversight. Noth and Wilson are expected to be there for the opening.
